Your New Second Shooter
As wedding photographers, we all need a team that we can rely on to help us beautifully portray all the special moments and details of a wedding day. I love shooting for other photographers as it gives me a chance to learn different techniques and strategies, visit new and exciting locations, and capture amazing photographs for you to share with your clients, and build our portfolios.
One of my greatest strengths as a photographer is my attention to detail. I am skilled at capturing all of the small, yet important moments that make a wedding day so special. From the look of love between the newlyweds to the tears of joy from family members, I know how to document these fleeting moments in a way that tells the story of the day. As an experienced lead shooter myself (10+ years), I know the kinds of shots you'd want captured from a second shooter, and I make it a point to follow your lead to get all the alternative angles you need, carry light stands, provide moral support, and do everything in my power to help make your life easier.
I'm also big on capturing the behind-the-scenes moments that make a wedding day possible. I understand the importance of capturing these candid moments, which can be great assets for your social media, blog, and website.
I am confident in shooting the guys or ladies on my own and am proficient in both natural lighting and flash (both on and off camera). I also like to do creative things like time-lapses and artistic compositions.
Overall, I am confident that my attention to detail, vast experience as a wedding photographer, mastery over lighting, and dedication to respect and professionalism make me a valuable asset as a second shooter for your team.
What do I shoot with?
Let's be honest, the gear is more important than we'd like to admit, so I make it a point to shoot with the latest professional cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment to best help you capture your client's wedding day. Below is a list of my most important equipment:
Nikon D750's (2)
GoPro Hero 10 Black
Mavic Air 2 Drone
Galaxy S22 Ultra 5g
Nikon 85/1.8 S Line
Laowa 100/2.8 Macro
Nikon 50/1.8 G
Godox TT600's (4)
Neewer LED Panels
Various Lens Filters/Hoods
Quick Release Light Stands
Wedding Emergency Kit
I'm happy to match my cameras' picture profiles to match your own systems. I typically shoot in a flat profile with high d-lighting for maximum flexibility in editing. I set up a static kelvin white balance for each location, and set all my clocks to time.gov the night before the wedding to make the editing process as seamless as possible.
If my portfolio and qualifications match what you're looking for, please feel free to fill out this form to let me know what wedding dates you need help with, and I'll get back to you for booking. If you'd like to discuss more, or grab a coffee first, shoot me an email and I'd be happy to connect with you. My rates for second shooting start at $50/hr. for photography or videography, and $65/hr. for videography + audio. Associate shooting starts at $150/hr and I include up to 1 hour of travel each way free of charge. I am happy to sign your contract, or provide one if you don't have one.
