So you've booked a bridal boudoir session? Great choice! Boudoir photography is an empowering experience and a fun way to feel sexy and build confidence for your big day. And prints for your s/o make a great gift!

You might feel anxious about shooting boudoir, and that's totally understandable. It's an intimate experience, so here are a couple of tips to help you get ready and feeling excited.

  • Take a deep breath. You'd be surprised how much simple breathing exercises can help relax your body. Clear your mind and dedicate 5 minutes to breathing.

  • Get plenty of rest, and hydrate well the day before and day-of so your skin looks and feels its best.

  • Bring accessories! Since this is a bridal boudoir shoot, bring items that relate to your wedding day. Examples: wedding veil, wedding shoes, jewelry, garter, undies, and anything else bridal! You could also bring his wedding ring and shirt/tie to surprise him with shots of you wearing them. You should also bring makeup and basic tools for touch ups throughout the shoot.

Boudoir photography captures the beauty and intimacy of the human form in its basest state. Our bodies are such an amazing, complicated creation, beautiful in its flaws and all, and my goal is to help you create beautiful images that you can look back on and cherish for years to come. Keep an open mind, and just have fun with it! If it helps, you are welcome to bring a gal pal to help you feel more comfortable (just give me a heads up), and feel free to bring your favorite drink as well!
