Serving Black Couples
Black lives matter, and you deserve to have the very best coverage of your wedding day.
As a wedding photographer, it is my responsibility to provide a respectful and inclusive experience for all of my clients, regardless of their race or ethnicity. Here are some specific steps I take to care for and respect my black couple clients:
-
Educate myself: I am committed to staying up-to-date on issues and concerns that may be specific to the black community. This includes learning about the history and significance of black wedding traditions, as well as any cultural or religious considerations that may be important to my clients.
-
Be an ally: I actively support and advocate for the rights and equality of black individuals, both in my personal and professional life. This includes participating in events and initiatives that promote black visibility and empowerment.
-
Respect my clients' wishes: I always make sure to respect my clients' wishes and preferences when it comes to their wedding photography. This includes being sensitive to any specific requests or concerns they may have about how their relationship is represented in the photos.
-
Create a safe and welcoming environment: I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for all of my clients. This means being understanding, open-minded, and respectful of all individuals, regardless of their race or ethnicity.
By taking these steps, I hope to provide a positive and inclusive experience for all of my black couple clients, and to help celebrate their love and commitment to one another.
